I use a Nikon D80 with a macro lens for most shots, BUT I also have a Ricoh Caplio R4 for slipping into the pocket (waaaay smaller) and find it takes killer macro shots - really close and really clear images. 6mp too. You should be able to pick one up pretty cheap now (or try the R5 or R6 also).
